Who wants to live next to a Millionaire?
Ever wondered where the 60,000 plus millionaires in the UK actually live? Well the new 'Millionaire Neighbourhood Report' compiled by marketing and business intelligence company EuroDirect, has identified the top 100 millionaire havens around the UK, identifying which towns and city regions have the highest numbers of millionaires in residence.
Unsurprisingly, London dominates the top 20, with Hampstead coming in at 1st place with 294 millionaires in residence. This is closely followed by Chelsea (4th), Wimbledon (5th), Golders Green (8th) St John's Wood (9th) and Putney (10th). Scotland also scores highly in the chart, with the Blackhall and Morningside districts of Edinburgh placed at 2nd and 3rd respectively. Hazelhead in Aberdeen also comes in at joint 6th place with Kensington in London.

The Millionaire Neighbourhood Report reveals that just 61 towns and city areas in the UK contain 100 or more millionaires, and of this only 7 have more than 200 millionaires in residence. Given London's dominance of the top 10, Surrey fairs well in the chart overall, with 18 of its towns in the top 100, only 2 behind London.
The report has been compiled from EuroDirect's new publicly available database of names and addresses, the 'Millionaires Club'. This was built from the capture of over 12 million shareholder records from the registers of the FT Top 500 companies. By calculating the value of shares held in every company for each individual investor, EuroDirect were able to identify over 6 million affluent investors, and over 50,000 Millionaires.

" Although this report was compiled for commercial reasons it
turned out to be a fascinating insight into the distribution of
wealth in the UK."
