TransUnion Is Named as One of UK’s Best Workplaces

TransUnion, a global information and insights company and one of the UK’s leading credit reference agencies, has officially been named amongst the top 50 UK’s Best Workplaces™ 2023.

Awarded by Great Place to Work®, a global authority on workplace culture, the recognition is based on colleague survey responses alongside an in-depth Culture Audit™. These insights are used to benchmark the effectiveness of what’s on offer for employees and their experience within the workplace.

Satrajit “Satty” Saha, CEO of TransUnion in the UK, said: “We’re delighted to have been listed as one of the UK’s best places to work. This accreditation demonstrates our commitment to creating a culture where our colleagues feel valued and respected and we’re proud that this has been recognised.”

Feedback from UK colleagues highlighted some of the key things they valued, which included:

- Additional time off, with two global company days given annually plus a flexible wellbeing day for colleagues’ birthdays

- Three paid volunteering days to support a charity of the colleague’s choice

- Ensuring downtime for colleagues daily, with dedicated time away from keyboards

- Free app to promote meditation and stress management

 - Virtual GP available free to colleagues at all times, as well as free counselling, mental health first aiders and menopause champions to provide support

There are a number of colleague forums to support inclusion and belonging, with a host of events and activities throughout the year. Last year, TransUnion hosted ‘WellFest’, a full day event which saw over 600 of TransUnion’s UK colleagues take a day away from keyboards and meetings to focus on wellbeing.

TransUnion is also committed to supporting the education and careers of their colleagues, providing ‘earn and learn’ schemes throughout the business. Developing skills in areas such as technology, data and analytics, finance, marketing, project management and human resources, these opportunities range from entry level to postgraduate, helping colleagues to strengthen their skills and grow in their careers.

“As the global authority on workplace culture, our mission at Great Place to Work® has always been to build a better world by helping organisations become a great place to work for all. We strongly believe in the notion of ‘better for business, better for people, better for the world,’” said Benedict Gautrey, managing director of Great Place to Work® UK.
