TransUnion announces agreement to sell Noddle business to Credit Karma

We’re delighted to announce that we have agreed to sell our Noddle business – which provides free-for-life credit monitoring and reporting, to Credit Karma – one of our longstanding global partners.

With a similar service offering to Noddle and a shared mission of empowering consumers to monitor and manage their credit, Credit Karma has over 85 million members in the US and Canada, and will enter the UK market through this acquisition.

“TransUnion is excited to bring these companies together,” said John Danaher, TransUnion’s president of consumer interactive. “Noddle and Credit Karma are well-matched, both embracing a ‘consumer-first’ approach to offering free information monitoring and financial health solutions. We are confident the business will continue to thrive under its new ownership and that this divestiture is a positive move for all parties, including UK consumers.”

Jacqueline Dewey, managing director of Noddle added: “This is great news for Noddle customers, who can continue to access their Noddle credit report and score for free, without any disruption to their service. On completion of the sale, Credit Karma has exciting plans to make the service even better for users, with significant investment and the introduction of new products.”
