South West Water use Callcredit for smarter tracing

SWWSouth West Water has signed a two year deal to use Callcredit Information Group’s sophisticated online tracing tool, Retriever.

The water provider required a solution which could accurately locate customers with outstanding balances that may be harder to reach due to changes to their names or addresses. The technology will allow South West Water to improve contact rates with their customers and will ensure that vulnerable customers are given the appropriate support in repaying any outstanding balances.

Andy Pinchin, Performance & Reporting Manager, said: “It can be difficult for utility companies to trace customers as we don’t have access to Government databases or landlord records, and of course we can’t withdraw our service either. It’s important for all our customers that we minimize non-payment, as this helps keep bills low for all our customers.”

Mitul Patel, Business Development Manager, Callcredit added “We’re thrilled to be working with South West Water. Retriever is a unique tool in the marketplace and by also returning “best fit” information it provides South West Water with more detailed information about the whereabouts of customers who may have previously been difficult to re-establish contact with.”
