Skipton Information Group Acquires Broadsystem

Marketing services and database specialist, Broadsystem, has been acquired by Skipton Information Group; parent company of EuroDirect, Callcredit, GMAP Consulting, Legatio and DecisionMetrics from News International.

The acquisition will serve to strengthen Skipton Information Group's position in the provision of data and database services and credit referencing by complementing the existing Group portfolio.

Broadsystem will continue to operate out of its Gerrards Cross head office and Bristol Communications Centre.

Caroline Worboys remains Broadsystem's CEO and will also join the Skipton Information Group board.

Mike Green, CEO of Skipton Information Group, comments:
"This is an excellent move for both organisations. The Broadsystem business model allows us to offer our clients the ability to interact on a more personal basis with their consumers and prospects. The unique set of USPs which Broadsystem offers, from both a technology and software application perspective, means our Group will have a truly unique service offering within the market."

Caroline Worboys, CEO of Broadsystem, adds:
"There is no doubt in my mind that the market place will recognise the uniqueness of the enhanced service now available from Skipton Information Group. Being part of a specialist Group will offer great potential for our continued growth. The deal also makes sense for News International as they focus on their core competencies and we are delighted that they remain an ongoing and committed client."
