Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council partner with Coactiva to help increase vital council tax revenues

Neath Port Talbot CBC has chosen to work with local government specialists Coactiva, part of the Callcredit Group, to help boost council tax revenues by utilising the company’s ThreeSixty Online software solution.

The introduction of the software will help Neath Port Talbot  protect vital front-line council services by being able to  access essential data to help trace absconded council tax debtors and clamp-down on fraudsters who dishonestly claim single person discount while living in households with multiple adult occupants.

The Council will use ThreeSixty Online to harness the power of Coactiva’s vast credit and residency database to understand who is living where and who can afford to pay what they owe to the authority.

Ann Hinder, Principal Council Tax Officer at Neath Port Talbot CBC said “After a rigorous trial period, revenues staff were unanimous in deciding that the ThreeSixty Online tool provided the functionality the Council required.

“The system has paid for itself many times over by allowing the Council to trace debtors, identify the most suitable course of debt recovery action and ensure that only those individuals that are eligible can claim council tax discounts.”

Lee Birch, Business Development Manager at Coactiva said: “Across every corner of Great Britain there is a local authority partnering with Coactiva to successfully increase council tax collection-rates.

“We are delighted that Neath Port Talbot CBC is the latest Welsh local authority to start accessing Coactiva’s powerful financial intelligence via the intuitive ThreeSixty Online system.”
