Javier García de la Torre Joins TransUnion as General Manager of Spain

TransUnion today announced the appointment of Javier García de la Torre to the role of General Manager of Spain. An accomplished financial services industry professional with significant digital transformation and business development experience, he is ideally positioned to lead TransUnion’s Spanish business in the next stage of its evolution.

García de la Torre will help set TransUnion’s strategic vision for the country, focusing on driving continued growth and innovation across customer solutions, and building even stronger client relationships as TransUnion’s offering in Spain continues to grow.

García de la Torre was most recently at digital bank, WiZink, focused on digital transformation and business development, prior to that he held a number of senior roles in both blue chip and high growth companies. This includes senior product roles for Equifax across a number of its European markets, and time at the digital rewards platform Yaap.com (a Banco Santander, CaixaBank & Telefónica FinTech startup) across its cash back and loyalty programs, and money transfer payment app solutions. Earlier in his career, García de la Torre was also founder and CEO of a successful engineering consultancy which worked for real estate developments across Spain. He holds an MSc in Telecommunications Engineering from Vigo University, an MBA from ESADE and The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and an Executive Master in Data Science and Big Data from AFI School of Finance.
