ITV Fixers Appoints Broadsystem to Mass Call Handling Task
Public Service Broadcasting Trust (PSBT), the company behind ITV Fixers, an initiative that encourages young people (16 - 25) to take positive action on issues they feel strongly about, has appointed Broadsystem to provide an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) service to help its call centre manage call volume generated by its broadcast launch this week.
ITV Fixers (http://www.itvfixers.com/) aims to motivate and support young people to identify and fix something useful in their community. Short films of the ITV Fixers will air each weekday this week in the early evening news bulletin on ITV Meridian South, Meridian East, Thames Valley and West at around 6.15pm. The short films will also be screened on a dedicated channel on ITV Local.
Broadsystem's role is to help PSBT and ITV Fixers manage effectively the peak volumes traditionally generated by broadcast media promotions by capturing calls exceeding its call centre capacity.
Project requirements were briefed, defined, quoted and agreed in partnership with PSBT within one day of enquiry and the service implemented within a further day. Broadsystem is particularly suited to support ITV Fixers because its 30,000 line IVR platform is purpose-built for mass scale direct response events and already forms the backbone of many major participation TV events.
