Introducing Callcredit Information Group Marketing Solutions

Broadsystem and EuroDirect to merge under Worboys' leadership

Major data and marketing players Broadsystem and EuroDirect are this week merging to become the Marketing Solutions business of Callcredit Information Group.  The two companies, which have worked alongside each other in the Group following the acquisition of Broadsystem in January 2008, will now operate as one entity, under the leadership of managing director Caroline Worboys. GMAP Consulting, the marketing analysis and retail planning Group company will also become part of the Marketing Solutions division.

The merger brings together the extensive data assets of EuroDirect and the consultancy, database and communication expertise of Broadsystem, to create a holistic client solution unparalleled in the direct marketing industry. Additionally, for the first time Marketing Solutions will have exclusive access to Callcredit's Credit Solutions data enabling the division to offer credit marketing solutions that drive more efficient and cost effective customer journeys and sustainable revenue streams.

The union comes as Worboys looks to move both the business and the direct marketing industry in a new direction, based on the demands of clients and the current economic climate. The consumer and the marketplace have altered irrevocably and it is fundamental that the industry evolves to offer clients the most up-to-the-minute solutions such as real-time leads, behavioural targeting, channel neutrality and customer journey mapping. The merger will also enable Worboys to innovate drawing on the expertise of all Group companies.

The Marketing Solutions arm will continue to operate across three sites in Leeds, Bristol and Chalfont, employing 750 staff. Callcredit Information Group will also continue to operate the Credit Solutions division, which incorporates leading credit referencing agency, Callcredit, Decision Metrics and Legatio.

Caroline Worboys, managing director, Callcredit Information Group Marketing Solutions, comments:
"Bringing together the capabilities of these two companies into one offering is a huge step forward for the Group. Now is a time for innovation and modernisation and by diverting our resources towards developing our combined offering we believe we are in a great position to help businesses achieve their goals."
