GMAP Consulting appoints John Chesworth as Account Director

GMAP Consulting has appointed John Chesworth as Account Director. His appointment will add further expertise to the automotive sector and the depth of his experience will further develop innovative automotive network planning, performance and design solutions to further serve the automotive industry.

John has over thirteen years automotive experience and has been responsible for key industry initiatives such as revisions to the block exemption legislation and the consequent addressing of different supply networks to respective customers.

John was previously employed at Polk and was responsible for the company's expansion throughout Europe, and took a lead role in devising network planning solutions and opportunities created by the new block exemption. He also gained valuable insight into the global markets of America, Canada and South America, worked across major domestic and importer's markets and supported and developed analytical teams in Michigan, California, Toronto and Melbourne.

John said: "It is fantastic to be working for GMAP who have a world-wide reputation in the motor industry, especially for their outstanding technological platform in the MICROVISION product suite used across a broad range of sectors. This, alongside the CAMEO geo-demographic data offered by its sister company, EuroDirect makes GMAP a highly compelling place to work. The motor industry is a dynamic place to be at the moment, and has lots to learn from the sophisticated data and intelligence developments seen in other sectors."

GMAP has undertaken network planning and market intelligence work for a range of automotive clients including Mazda, Ford, Volvo, Jaguar, DaimlerChrysler, and Land Rover.
