EuroDirect has Another Excellent Year Amidst the Pessimistic DM Gloom
In an industry where we have heard nothing but gloom
over the last 18 months, EuroDirect has today announced record year
end results.
In a highly turbulent environment where traditional DM is said to
be in decline and consumers are flexing their 'opt-out' muscles
more and more we have seen many DM suppliers taking the brunt of
these conditions and reporting losses. To the contrary however,
leading marketing intelligence specialist EuroDirect has ridden the
waves and come out of 2006 on a high.
Record year-end results have been reported for EuroDirect and
subsidiary GMAP Consulting, with pre-tax profits up by 14%.
In addition to their reputation for outstanding customer service,
EuroDirect attributes their success to their expanding Database
Division which over the last year has seen their client list
triple. Their portfolio of database clients is now enviable,
covering leading players in the world of sport, retail, financial
services, utilities, travel and property, and includes amongst
their most recent acquisitions: npower and Chelsea Football
Club.
Retail planning and market intelligence experts GMAP Consulting,
have also seen substantial growth throughout 2006 with the addition
of new clients across the automotive, retail, financial and
forecourt sectors.
EuroDirect has also benefited from the dramatic growth of their
sister credit referencing company Callcredit, whose
innovative product range now enables EuroDirect to deliver a
comprehensive credit marketing service to their clients.
EuroDirect's International business has also witnessed exceptional
growth over the last 12 months with EuroDirect leading the world in
their development of global consumer classification systems. As
testament to this, their international service provision now covers
over 30 countries worldwide and EuroDirect now has resellers and
customers in all four corners of the globe.
John Dobson , Managing Director, EuroDirect comments: "Although
the DM market is extremely tough, EuroDirect has managed to
maintain their unblemished record of year on year profit growth. I
put this entirely down to the people, the passion and the
innovation that we foster within our business."
Mike Green , Chief Executive, EuroDirect went on to
say:
"Despite the increasing consumer backlash to DM and the declining
market confidence, EuroDirect has managed to weather the storm and
finish the year with excellent profit levels. We are looking
forward with anticipation to the exciting opportunities that await
both EuroDirect and the wider Group in 2007."
