Donation Station Success!

Callcredit Information Group raises funds for Cancer Research UK

Callcredit Information Group has collected 52 bags of donations for Cancer Research UK, raising £1,560 towards much needed cancer research.

The company joined forces with Cancer Research UK by holding a Donation Station in their offices in Bristol, Chalfont and Leeds which enabled employees to help raise funds without anyone having to put their hands in their pockets.

Donation Station is an initiative that enables companies to run a corporate stock drive on their own premises so that employees can bring along any unwanted clothing, accessories, CDs and homewares which can then be sold in nearby Cancer Research UK shops.

Sandy Shing, Retail Marketing Senior Exec says: "We realise that a lot of people who want to give us a helping hand lead really busy lifestyles and finding the time to donate to our shops can be difficult. So by collecting bags at someone's place of work, donating to charity can be made easier."

John McAndrew of Callcredit Information Group says: "We were delighted to be a part of Cancer Research UK's Donation Station campaign. This initiative is a great idea, as it is a 'No cash ask', that enabled us to help raise £1,560 for vital cancer research."
