Callcredit wins Yorkshire Post’s Excellence in Business Award

Callcredit Information Group is celebrating yet again this morning after collecting the award for ‘Innovation’ at last night’s Yorkshire Post’s Excellence in Business.

The Yorkshire Post Excellence in Business Awards are designed to recognise all kinds of businesses from start-ups to giant corporates, it includes intrepid exporters flying the flag for Britain overseas and ambitious technology companies pioneering in the field of big data.

At last night’s high profile ceremony, held at Queens Hotel in Leeds, which included a keynote speech from Iain Duncan Smith, Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, Callcredit was amongst good company bringing together business leaders from across the Yorkshire region.

With 11 categories to enter there were strict criteria for all entries, following which all those shortlisted had to undergo a rigorous interview process. On the evening within the ‘innovation category’ Callcredit faced competition from Harrison Spinks and WANdisco.

Graham Lund, UK Managing Director, who collected the award on behalf of Callcredit commented, “We are delighted to have won the award for innovation particularly as it comes on the back of a similar award received at The Yorkshire Insider Awards earlier this month. The award is presented to companies that can demonstrate innovation in their approach to growth and development and is clear testament that Callcredit is recognised by its peers within the Yorkshire business community for leading the way in innovation, growth, service and success”.
