Callcredit wins Yorkshire Insider's ‘Deal of the Year’ Award

Following on from recent success Callcredit Information Group picked up a further award last night at the Yorkshire Insider’s Dealmakers Awards 2014. Callcredit received the award for ‘Deal of the Year’ for the private equity (GTCR) supported MBO earlier this year.

The event, which took place at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds and was hosted by broadcaster Colin Murray, gathered more than 600 of Yorkshire's leading lights to celebrate the achievements in a resurgent year for the industry.

On the night there were 13 categories ranging from Corporate Finance Advisory Team of the Year to Dealmaker of the Year. Within the ‘Deal of the Year’ (£25m plus) category, sponsored by Willis, Callcredit faced competition from the following deals: Allied Glass MBO, acquisition and merger of Zenith and Leasedrive by HgCapital, Victoria Plumb sale to TPG, Adler and Allan MBO.

Liz Richards, Group Financial Director, who collected the award on behalf of Callcredit commented, “To receive this award on the back of the two recent ‘innovation’ awards is truly a fantastic achievement and is testament to what has been a fantastic year for our business.
