Callcredit wins online product of the year award

Leeds-based credit reference agency Callcredit has picked up a top industry award for CallML, its electronic identity verification service.

CallML, which is used by many UK organisations across a broad range of sectors, including over 600 law firms, has been named 'Online Product of the Year' at the Legal Technology Awards 2007. The awards recognise and celebrate excellence in the provision and implementation of technology solutions for the benefit of legal practice.

Callcredit's Martin Cheek said:

"The number of law firms using CallML is evidence of its success but winning this award is a tremendous independent endorsement."

CallML enables law firms and other regulated firms to confidently and cost-effectively comply with the stringent 'know your customer' requirements of the latest anti-money laundering legislation. Available as an online service, it confirms identities in seconds, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, using a range of positive and negative information sources.

Martin Cheek added:

"Verifying the identity of new customers with the confidence that your company has complied with all the requirements of money laundering legislation is a key concern for all regulated companies. CallML makes life much easier for law firms and their clients. It saves them both the considerable cost and inconvenience of supplying and checking documentary evidence, such as driving licences and passports."

CallML was also short-listed for 'technology innovation of the year' and 'best of breed system of the year'
