Callcredit Welcomes Short Term Lending Customer Charter

Callcredit Information Group welcomes the announcement of the introduction of a customer charter by the short term lending industry.

Peter Mansfield, Managing Director at Callcredit Limited commented, "By adopting a more transparent approach to fees and charges and pledging to help their most vulnerable customers, lenders within the sector are clearly demonstrating their commitment to responsible lending".

"These measures together with a wider use of data provided by Credit Reference Agencies, such as  affordability checks, to ensure customers are not financially over-stretched, help to provide greater insight on which to base lending decisions. All of which are positive steps to ensure that a common practise is followed by lenders within this sector".
