Callcredit Tops Growth Chart

Callcredit Information Group has topped Insider's Yorkshire Growth 100 for the first time, after recording a higher percentage of annual growth than any other Yorkshire-based company.

Callcredit, which employs almost 300 people at its head office in Leeds, recorded annual growth of 168 per cent over the sampled period, with its most recent accounts revealing turnover of £28.5m and pre-tax profit of £5.7m.

Graham Lund, Managing Director of Callcredit said, "We're delighted to have topped this growth chart; it's a real testament to all the hard work that has been put in by the Callcredit team.

"We're only ten years old, which means we aren't tied to legacy systems or technologies. We're innovative and that has really helped us to win market share and position Callcredit well in the market place.

"Whilst its been a tough economic climate over the past few years we have been able to show clients that we offer cost-efficient and valuable solutions that can help them compete in these difficult times. We're confident that we have found a recipe for success and will continue to grow and develop in the coming years."

Callcredit has set ambitious targets for future turnover through both organic growth and potential acquisitions.

To achieve a place in Insider's Growth 100, companies must have achieved five consecutive years of turnover growth. Based on the data from these five years, the average increase in turnover they have achieved over this period is calculated and the businesses are ranked accordingly.
