Callcredit Targets Recoveries and Utilities Markets

Leeds-based credit reference agency Callcredit has appointed Craig Gardner to the new position of 'head of sales - recoveries & utilities'.

In his new role Craig will be responsible for sales of recoveries solutions for in-house collections departments and debt management solutions for the utilities sector. He will also be involved in developing solutions for the debt sale/purchase market.

An experienced credit industry professional, Craig was previously head of debt strategy at rival agency Equifax and before that worked with Neural Technologies.

Commenting on his appointment, Callcredit's managing director John McAndrew said:

"Craig has a successful track record in both the development and sale of debt management solutions for use in recoveries and also in the utilities sector. His knowledge and experience will be a major asset to Callcredit.

Callcredit's intention is to become market leader in the area of debt management delivering solutions which enable companies to adopt and implement integrated and cohesive policies throughout the customer lifecycle"

Following substantial new business gains in recent months Callcredit is currently strengthening all its client facing teams, including sales. It is also restructuring its sales operation around the consumer credit lifecycle, creating separate teams responsible for Risk, Collections & Recoveries, Identification & Verification, and Credit Marketing.
