Callcredit steps up investment in Lithuania and appoints new Country Manager

Data, analytics and software business Callcredit Information Group has appointed Eglė Šimė as its new Country Manager. At the same time it has reaffirmed its commitment to Kaunas, signing a new lease for increased space at its current location in the Žalgirio Arena.

Eglė will be responsible for the running of Callcredit’s Lithuanian operations and the development of new specialist functions and areas of expertise. The Kaunas team recently added the development of software solutions in the field of customer identification and fraud prevention to its areas of responsibility, and is expected to play an important role in Callcredit’s migration to cloud-based IT solutions as well as further expansion of its machine learning capabilities.

In previous roles, Eglė has been responsible for devising and delivering strategic change programmes whilst ensuring and improving client service levels. Previously, Eglė has held senior roles across multiple sectors including energy and IT, across customer service and technical disciplines. Her most recent position was as member of the board at Technologijų Inovacijų Centras part of Lietuvos Energija.

Callcredit has had an office in Kaunas since 2012 and employs almost 200 IT, marketing and customer service professionals. The office is recognised as a centre of excellence within the wider Callcredit Information Group and has continued to grow as a result. Alongside the appointment of Eglė as Country Manager, the business has also signed a new lease on its current location with the addition of extra floor space to accommodate its ongoing expansion.
