Callcredit reinforce commitment to protecting personal data

Callcredit, the UK's most innovative credit reference agency, has today furthered its commitment to protecting consumer data by signing the Information Commissioner's Personal Information Promise.

The Promise, a set of ten key data protection principles, will be launched as the UK's contribution to European Data Protection Day in London this evening.

John McAndrew, Managing Director of Callcredit, Credit Solutions will officially sign the Promise at tonight's event.
He said; "Callcredit takes security of personal data very seriously, and already has standards in place that meet the commitments of the Promise, so we're delighted to reinforce this message today. Data loss can have devastating effects and as well as ensuring our own data is secure, Callcredit can help companies and government departments to protect the identities of consumers affected by a breach by providing alerts when fraudulent activity is detected."
