Callcredit appoints new Head of Utilities

Martyn Cladingbowl has been appointed as Head of Utilities for Callcredit Information Group working across both the Credit and Marketing Divisions.

Martyn has been working within the Utilities sector since 1996, with experience in Business & Organisation Transformation, Strategic Sales & Consultancy, Data & Analytics execution, Credit Risk and Financial Management in this Energy and Water sector. Martyn has been at the forefront of adapting to the utilities market evolution, helping shape and develop cutting edge policies and strategies with many utility suppliers across the UK, European and North American markets.

Martyn will be responsible for expanding Callcredit's utilities business, providing solutions across the Customer lifecycle utilising Callcredit’s agile and innovative credit and marketing services. Martyn will also be responsible for leading Callcredit’s Utilities Strategy, Vision, Market Development and Sales across both UK and Global markets. 

Martyn joins Callcredit after successfully leading and developing Experian’s global utilities business. Prior to which he spent 10 years at Centrica, where he pioneered their credit risk, data sharing, collections and fraud strategies for British Gas.

During his career Martyn has played a key role in the transformation of energy suppliers, delivering marketing, risk, customer management, fraud and collections & recoveries solutions to address the changing demands of the sector. Martyn’s achievements in the sector include delivering pioneering strategies for; Customer Relationship Management, Credit Scoring, Data Sharing, Decisioning, Portfolio Segmentation and Fraud Identification & Prevention. These solutions have enabled utility companies to optimise their operations in order to deliver maximum return on resources and investment.
