Callcredit announces partnership with public sector solutions specialist INTEC

Callcredit Information Group has today (sixth January) announced a strategic partnership with INTEC Public Sector which will help local authorities clamp down on fraud within local authorities on a much larger scale.

INTEC, which provide fraud case management systems (CMS) to local authorities, has integrated Callcredit’s credit reference data into its software solutions enabling local authorities using INTEC’s service to access consumer credit reference data in real time and on a mass scale.

The partnership simplifies the search process for local authorities, enabling them to have all the required data to investigate fraud in one place.   Local authorities will now be able to merge Callcredit’s data with their own to include details of an individual’s occupancy, address history and financial commitments and how they are performing against those commitments.  This will not only reduce costs and help improve collection rates but will help local authorities make better informed decisions around repayment arrangements.

Marcus Hayes, Senior Business Development Manager, Callcredit Information Group said: “It is important that there is the support and solutions in place to help local authorities trace and recover the money they are owed.  This new partnership will provide a central location of real time data for local authorities to be able to review on a much wider scale which will help them identify suspected fraudsters much more quickly.”

Nick Turner, Director, INTEC Public Sector said: “INTEC has been successfully helping its customer’s combat fraud for decades. Due to changes in the fraud landscape, we wanted to provide more pro-active tools to local authorities. We considered potential partners and felt that Callcredit would provide the best solution and collaboration available. This has led to the enhancement of our existing solutions, with the support of Callcredit.”
