500,000 people sign up to Noddle

Noddle, the free-for-life credit reporting service is pleased to announce reaching over 500,000 sign-ups.

Provided by Callcredit Information Group, Noddle offers consumers unlimited online access to their credit report in minutes with no fees or complicated cancellation process. Since its launch in April 2012, consumers who’ve signed up to the Noddle service have saved a total of *£60m a year in subscriptions fees on similar services offered by competitors.

Consumer finances remain stretched due to the continued rise in the costs of living and the festive season which has put further strain on consumers,** with a third confessing that they were going to use credit to fund Christmas, with one in ten expecting to be paying back any credit well into 2014.

By checking their credit reports on a regular basis, consumers can take more control of their finances, knowing exactly where they have taken out credit, how much they owe and ensuring that no-one has or is using their identity to fraudulently apply for credit in their name.

Over the last 12 months Noddle has seen a 50% increase in those customers checking their credit reports using a mobile device and as such now offers a mobile optimised site for those customers who wish to view their credit report on the go.

Tom Ilube, Founder of Noddle commented “To reach half a million sign-ups is a real milestone for Noddle and demonstrates that more people are realising the importance of checking their credit report.

“January is the time of year when we all make resolutions for the year ahead and after the expense of Christmas; many are starting the year worried about their finances. A large number of consumers have taken out additional credit in order to fund the festive period which means having to cut back on essentials such as food and heating throughout the year in order to keep their heads above water.

“Checking your credit report on a regular basis is a great way to get your finances in order, putting you in control of your spending”
