2010 Electoral Roll Data Already Online at Callcredit
Callcredit Limited, part of the Callcredit Information Group (CIG) has today announced that 2010 electoral roll data, released by councils in November, has already commenced upload to its online database.
Ed Davies, Data & Client Services Director at Callcredit said:
"Advanced matching techniques deployed by Callcredit allows us to process all electronic records received from the UK's 384 data supplying councils, accurately and efficiently. As a result, the new listings are formatted and uploaded within hours of receipt.
"The electoral roll is integral to both identity verification and applications for credit. On average, 13% of the electoral roll changes year on year and in light of credit searches peaking around Christmas, it is imperative we give businesses and our customers access to the most precise information available, as soon as it is accessible.
"Our initial research indicates that increasing opt-out rates look set to continue, with the completed year's figure estimated at 46% of the entire electorate."
