TransUnion UK & Europe has announced several senior appointments as the business continues driving innovation across the region. These appointments follow the promotion of a number of existing executive committee members to international roles and reflect the advancement of strong internal talent as part of succession planning. 

Steve Wishart has been promoted to chief revenue officer for TransUnion’s UK business, effective 1 October 2026. He brings more than 12 years of experience at TransUnion in the UK, most recently serving as director of sales for financial services. In his new role, Steve will lead the UK sales and sales specialist teams. His deep knowledge of TransUnion, its evolving market offering and strong relationships position him well to build on the strong foundations already in place. Steve brings broad experience from across fraud prevention roles and the wider financial services sector, having previously held leadership roles at Morgan Stanley and MBNA.  

Mahesh Bharadhwaj joined as chief data and analytics officer for the UK & Europe on 21 September 2026. He brings more than 20 years of experience in data, analytics, credit risk, pricing and commercial strategy, having held senior leadership roles across FinTech and financial services, including Jaja Finance, Funding Circle, Barclaycard, Oliver Wyman, and Capital One. Most recently, Mahesh served as chief analytics officer at Jaja Finance, where he led analytics, credit strategy, valuations modelling and data science functions. His appointment follows the promotion of Praneeth Meka to the role of chief data and analytics officer for TransUnion’s International business. 

Ashley Hart joined on 7 September 2026 as chief operating officer for the UK & Europe, following the promotion of Laura Barley to vice president, head of customer experience transformation in TransUnion’s International operations. Ashley is an accomplished operations, risk, and transformation executive, with senior leadership experience across Monzo Bank, TSB Bank, the Financial Ombudsman Service and most recently at Flutter Entertainment. He brings a strong track record of commercial leadership, alongside deep expertise in regulated operations, financial crime, technology-enabled transformation and customer protection. 

Catherine Diamond joined as chief human resources officer UK & Europe on 14 September 2026. An accomplished people and culture leader, Catherine brings more than 20 years of experience across banking, insurance and FinTech, including senior roles at Tandem Bank, Vanquis Banking Group, TSB and Lloyds Banking Group. She has built a strong reputation for leading HR strategy and rollout, executive succession and talent strategy, while partnering closely with boards, CEOs and regulators to deliver business growth and strong governance. Catherine’s appointment follows predecessor Kaushik Gopalan’s decision to return to India, from where he continues to consult for TransUnion.

Kejriwal will officially join TransUnion on January 2, 2025. The appointment is subject to the required regulatory approvals. 

Kejriwal started his career with Capital One in Fraud & Credit Risk and was subsequently with HSBC for 20 years working in a series of leadership roles, including EVP, Head of Consumer Products, Propositions & Analytics for HSBC Mexico and MD, Group & UK Head of Cards and Personal Loans for HSBC. During his tenure at HSBC he helped steer the organisation through some of its biggest challenges across different markets. Kejriwal holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Economics and did his MBA in Finance at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore.

Having led TransUnion’s European business as interim UK and Europe CEO for the last 12 months, Mark Horsey will remain in post until Kejriwal’s arrival. He will then remain with TransUnion, working in an advisory capacity across the organisation’s international business, including Europe – ensuring an orderly handover and that the business retains Horsey’s extensive talent and experience.

Sharon will be joining the UK executive team, where she will be responsible for overseeing the business’s finance and accounting activities for the region, helping to drive TransUnion’s ambitious growth strategy. She joins the UK and Europe team from her role as CFO for TransUnion Africa, bringing her experience across diverse industries such as banking, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and consumer packaged goods to the role.

“Sharon brings a wealth of experience and leadership to TransUnion’s UK and Europe business, including her combined passions for innovative finance solutions and people leadership,” said David Gilbert, senior vice president international CFO at TransUnion. “Her talent for providing accurate and relevant information and insights, along with her significant project management skills, is sure to add great momentum to our growth in the region.” 

Sharon joined TransUnion in 2021, is a qualified chartered accountant and holds a master’s degree in financial management, along with 23 years’ experience in corporate finance, financial planning and analysis, strategy, mergers and acquisitions, accounting, and operations. She was nominated in South Africa’s CFO of the Year awards programme in 2023, when she was named the Transformational CFO of the Year. 

Sam Welch will lead TransUnion’s go-to-market strategy across the region, driving sales and overseeing client relationships. He has held senior leadership roles within the business since joining in 2019 as Strategy and Planning Director and brings more than 22 years of strategy, commercial and operations experience across a range of sectors.

This focus will help us build trust between our clients and their customers and enable their businesses to flourish by making better decisions and delivering the smooth customer journeys that today’s consumers expect.” 

Celso Nogueira joined TransUnion’s Brazilian business eight years ago as Head of Strategy and Planning and transitioned to working within the UK business during 2022, bringing to the local team his knowledge and insights into Open Banking. In his new role, he will be responsible for implementing TransUnion’s UK and Europe strategies, along with overseeing any new investment or acquisition activities.

So, with consumers central to our thinking, we will continue to develop the innovative solutions that will address the key challenges facing our clients,” said Celso. 

Joining the executive with his appointment to the Chief Data and Analytics Officer role, Praneeth is responsible for the full lifecycle of data from acquisition to analysis, modelling, and ongoing quality enhancements that position the business for future growth. He will advise the UK and Europe executive and their teams on the benefits of TransUnion’s data assets and how evolving technology can support the business’s drive to bring innovative solutions to market.

Prior to this new role, Praneeth led the transformation of data science and analytics within the TransUnion UK business, building a team of data scientists and analytics consultants to support growth. He also launched  Innovation Labs in the UK business, which saw 14 successful events in 2023, leading to direct improvements in revenue.

“Data asset management and data science and analytics are an intrinsic part of TransUnion’s growth, and they’re at the core of producing new models, products and strategies for the business,” said Praneeth Meka, speaking of his appointment. “I’m excited to be steering a team that will support all lines of our business to become more data-driven, and to be a part of the executive team of inspirational leaders.”

Praneeth joined TransUnion UK in March 2021 from HSBC UK, where he was Head of Product and Digital Analytics, after senior data-led roles at Emirates NBD, JP Morgan Chase, and Citigroup, among others.

TransUnion’s Chief Data and Analytics Officer for International Markets, Dinesh Chawla, said: “With his extensive experience in data asset management and data science and data analytics, Praneeth’s skills and leadership talents bring a unique capability that will be a growth enabler for our region.”

Having previously held the roles of CIO and chief operating officer at TransUnion Africa, where he led digital transformation, product delivery and consumer experience, Sudhish will now be responsible for leading TransUnion’s technology and analytics transformation. He will also be identifying and developing new strategies to advance technology systems and products in the UK and Europe.

Sudhish brings over 20 years’ experience of working with global organisations across multiple industries. Most recently, Sudhish was the technology leader building Old Mutuals’, a large financial services company, digital bank offering in South Africa. In this role, he led the technology strategy and delivery. He has also led large scale technology transformations and built delivery teams in other global companies.

Kaushik will lead TransUnion's HR strategy and colleague initiatives for the UK and Europe, with responsibilities spanning talent acquisition, learning and development, colleague engagement and people operations.

Kaushik brings more than two decades of HR experience to the role. He previously served as the senior director of human resources and international markets at Neustar – a leading identity resolution company, which was acquired by TransUnion in 2021.

Having been with the business for more than two decades, Kelli most recently held the role of head of consumer interactive internationally, where she was responsible for strategy and performance of the consumer business across all TransUnion’s international markets. 

Prior to that Kelli was the driving force behind TransUnion’s investment in personal credit platform and API, Monevo. She currently serves on the board of Monevo to help leverage TransUnion's global relationships and market-leading decisioning and analytic capabilities. 

As part of the UK executive team, James will lead TransUnion’s regional consumer business, helping businesses to deliver streamlined customer journeys and supporting financial inclusion through credit education and consumer empowerment.

Having joined TransUnion more than 15 years ago, James has an in-depth knowledge of the company’s consumer operations and was previously director of product and presales for the consumer team. James has played a key role in the creation and implementation of TransUnion’s custom-labelled CreditView solution, as well as helping to develop TransUnion’s open banking strategy.

James succeeds Kelli Fielding, who has been named head of consumer interactive internationally, where she will be responsible for strategy and performance for the consumer business across all TransUnion’s international markets. 

Kelli will also continue to represent TransUnion on the board of Monevoⁱ to help leverage TransUnion's global relationships and market-leading decisioning and analytic capabilities.

Mark joined TransUnion from Barclays, where he held strategy and product roles across its retail banking business. Prior to that, Mark worked at Strategy&, PwC’s global strategy consulting business, where he supported clients in the retail banking, corporate banking, insurance and wealth management sectors.

The appointment comes as previous UK strategy and planning director Shashant Agrawal joins TransUnion’s global data and analytics organisation as vice president of strategy. In his new role, Shashant will be responsible for developing the global data and analytics agenda and vision – encompassing key operational capabilities that underpin and drive growth.

In October 2021, TransUnion confirmed its investment in UK-based fintech Monevo to serve the personal credit market. 

Having joined the business in 2006, Neil has an in-depth knowledge of the UK operations and has previously managed both the legal transactions and compliance teams. He works closely with industry regulators and established TransUnion’s legal regulatory team in 2017 before becoming legal director and data protection officer.

Neil succeeds Bill Flynn who moves on to TransUnion’s international leadership team as senior vice president, taking over leadership of all TransUnion’s legal teams outside of the US. Bill will remain on the UK board and retain his close involvement with the UK business.

Lisette is an accomplished banking and financial services leader who has been the Chief Revenue Officer of TransUnion Colombia since 2017, following a decade of senior leadership and product development experience at Citigroup, as well as other prior strategy and analyst experience across wider sectors. Lisette will continue to implement TransUnion’s proven growth strategy. This includes facilitating safe, tailored consumer experiences through superior identity verification, as well as delivering greater insights that enable effective actions.

Supporting Lisette and the ongoing growth of TransUnion in Spain will be Mónica Conejero López who will take on the role of Product and Business Director for Confirma Group of Companies. Mónica has been with the business for over a decade and prior to that worked at Equifax Iberica.

Having held senior leadership roles with TransUnion since 2018, Dominic has been responsible for defining and delivering strategies across a range of sectors, including government, gaming, e-commerce, telecommunications, debt market and utilities. Most recently, he has spearheaded the fintech strategy across all TransUnion’s international markets.

Prior to this, Dominic held positions at Thomson Reuters in both Europe and Africa. His extensive experience in the data field has proved a valuable asset in helping TransUnion deliver on its commitment of using Information for Good^®. Dominic has led pioneering initiatives that have supported both private and public sector clients through unique challenges.

He will work with UK CEO Satrajit “Satty” Saha and the UK executive team to deliver on the strategic objectives for long-term growth, continuing on the trajectory which has seen TransUnion named Credit Information Provider of the Year for the second year running.

Laura’s promotion marks a milestone for gender parity within the UK executive team, which is now 50% female, aligning with TransUnion’s pledge to achieve global gender parity in senior leadership by 2030. 

Before joining the executive team, Laura was operations director with responsibility for consumer services, data operations and data. She has an in-depth understanding of customer experience, having recently driven a programme to improve customer satisfaction which saw clients vote the company Credit Information Partner of the Year in The Consumer Credit Awards 2021.
