Callcredit Raises Thousands of Pounds for NSPCC

A team of cyclists from Callcredit Information Group has raised just over £8,000 for the NSPCC's Child Voice Appeal, after completing the gruelling 135 mile Coast-to-Coast cycle challenge earlier this year.

The cyclists, including six Callcredit staff and 20 clients, pedalled from Whitehaven in Cumbria to Sunderland on the east coast and all collected sponsorship for taking part in the challenge. The sponsorship money has been rolling in since the cyclists completed the ride at the end of June and has now reached £8,012.

The NSPCC's Child's Voice Appeal aims to sustain and grow the helpline services of ChildLine and the NSPCC, ensuring that they are easily accessible for all children.

Mike Davies, Callcredit Business Development Director, commented: "We're delighted to have raised so much money for such a good cause. We had a lot of fun taking part in the Coast-to-Coast, even when battling the hills of the Lake District and the Pennines, but the main purpose of the event was to raise money for the NSPCC and we're really pleased with the total.

"The NSPCC are revitalising their infrastructure, ensuring that they are using the kind of up-to-date media that children are now so used to. Modern technology is fundamentally important to Callcredit's business, so we're proud to be able to play a small part in helping with their Child's Voice Appeal and the improvements of their systems."
