Callcredit and COI Finalists for Award

Callcredit Information Group and the Central Office of Information (COI) have been shortlisted for the e-Government award for innovative national strategy used in RAF Reserves recruitment.

Callcredit have worked with RAF recruitment for 11 years, hosting the interaction centre and database systems.  In 2010 they were commissioned by COI, on behalf of the RAF Reserves, to build a lead management system to facilitate a more robust and cost effective recruitment process,  with an added e-fulfiment element to achieve a more positive experience for candidates.

The partnership's innovative strategy was recognised for delivering above-average results in improving services, processes and effectiveness. The winner will be announced on Wednesday 26 January at the London Guildhall, at a ceremony attended by ministers, top-civil servants and technology experts from the public and private sectors.

Squadron Leader Julie Davies, OC HQ RAF Reserves Recruiting Team, said: "The development of this web-based portal - to a critical deadline - is a vital element of the RAF's Reserves  recruitment strategy, ensuring that we maximise our recruitment effort, reduce the admin burden on our squadrons and gather critical management information to inform our future strategy."

Duncan Graham, Commercial Director at Callcredit, said: "We're delighted that the RAF Reserves recruitment campaign has been shortlisted for this award, highlighting the innovation and successes that have been achieved. COI has allowed us to use our expertise creatively to get the best results and we look forward to more successful years working together."

Ben Heald, awards judge and CEO of Sift Media, the Awards organiser, said: "I'd like to offer my congratulations to all of the selected finalists. The standard of this year's entries was very high, and really highlights how the public sector is reacting to the current conditions, using technology, ingeniously in some cases, to create efficiencies and improve services."
