Sanofi Pasteur MSD Choose MICROVISION
Market leading vaccine specialist Sanofi Pasteur MSD has
selected GMAP Consulting's MICROVISION market visualisation and
territory optimisation software to improve its market intelligence
and aid its field sales and marketing strategy.
Sanofi Pasteur MSD was founded in 1994, as a joint venture between
Sanofi Pasteur and Merck and Co. Inc. It is the only European
company dedicated exclusively to developing vaccines providing
protection against diseases affecting all age groups.
Sanofi Pasteur MSD have selected MICROVISION Territory Optimiser to
assist with ongoing territory planning and management and to
provide market intelligence on each territory increasing the
effectiveness of sales representatives.
The MICROVISION market intelligence system brings together
demographic data from the latest UK Census with hospital and GP
location data provided by Binleys at both postal and healthcare
geography levels (Primary Care Organisation, RSA Brick and
Strategic Health Authority) within a bespoke geographical
information system. This unique system has enabled Sanofi Pasteur
MSD to optimise the individual territories of their sales
representatives so that they can effectively manage sales
activities. They have maximised the efficiencies of their UK market
by using MICROVISION to divide it up into uniform sales territories
which are well balanced in terms of the number of doctors and
patient populations within each.
Using MICROVISION, they can visualise each territory as a map and
report on individual territories to thoroughly understand the
demographic characteristics of their catchment population, enabling
them to harmonise their field based activity.
